The Model APD (stands for Air Proving Device) acts as an airflow proving device for the Model S2000/2020 Steam Humidifiers by monitoring the on/off status of the blower. It also can: - operate spring-type damper for fresh air - Monitor on/off status of various electrical loads, direct drive units and exhaust fans. This simple and versatile component makes sure that no steam is released into your duct work without air flow. The split core feature eliminates the need to splice wires and the 100% solid state design means no worn contacts. Used to prevent accidental running of humidifier with no air flow.
